FRENCHTOWN Alan and Pam had solar in mind when they built their beautiful 19th Century style Farmhouse. They designed a large roof in the back of the house facing the South. Great planning Pam and Allen. Pam’s work colleagues were discussing the amazing benefits of solar and began raving about MAK. We visited their house and the roof fit 90 Evergreen 110 Watt modules. The Evergreens fit best on the roof with the smaller foot print plus they are made in the USA!
Evergreen uses a string ribbon technology has a proven track record for great production and availability. Special considerations included that MAK removed 5 vent pipes that were in the way. We also upgraded the electrical panel box. While we were there, our electrician ran the electrical lines for the energy efficient hot tub.
Pam and Alan’s system covers 100 % their electrical needs. They particularly benefit as they both travel extensively for work. So they bank the solar as they are traveling and can utilize the credits upon return. Under the stars, in the hot tub overlooking the pond with the horses and sheep in view with solar on the roof up above. Who says, you can’t make your dreams come true ! Congratulations Pam and Alan! You did it! You went solar!
The benefits of the system are outlined in greater detail in the following tables:
